When you hear about Black Hat SEO, you might be thinking about some dark, ominous and unethical doings. However, not all Black Hat Search Engine Optimization is the same and you don’t have to be unethical in your internet marketing to indulge in the black hat techniques that give you the edge against your competitors.
Black hat techniques also including the way to hide content strategically within your web pages and this is basically the concept of putting content and keywords within the html code on your website so that it is not visible to your web site visitors.
The reason for doing that is that there are so many black hat hackers who will copy your html code and use it to their advantage. After all that hard work, I am sure you would not want someone to just come along and reap the rewards, would you?
You can do this easily with the use of comment tags within the html code. Here is an example of how that would look:

A programmer developer uses these comment tags for including notes while they are doing their programming. This helps them to mark the starting point of the programming and ending point. The difference in Black Hat SEO is that these comment tags are not filled with notes, but with keywords instead, which helps you to earn search engine ranking with your web page promotion.
You can also use noframes tags in your html code, form inputs that are hidden, text size and text color changes that are not seen by the visitor, but are still on the page.
These black hat SEO techniques protect you from black hat hackers, but you have to be careful because the search engines don’t know that you are only trying to protect your work from hackers. Search engines see it differently and you can get your site banned if you use certain black hat SEO techniques.
Another black hat method is cloaking. In the black hat SEO world, cloaking is used most frequently and its popularity is known among many affiliate marketers who want to hide those long URLs.
However, there is a different kind of cloaking, which involves placing duplicate content on your web page in such a way as to trick the search engine crawler to think that the content is fresh and unique. If this type of content is done for the intention of only getting traffic to your site and not valuable to your visitors, then the search engines consider this as Black Hat SEO on the dark side.
However, if it is relevant and valuable content, it may be considered as White Hat SEO instead of a Black Hat system. The kind of Black Hat technique that I want you to know about is ethical because it will be following the rules of the search engines while looking for loopholes to get traffic to your website.
