I am a Christian Marketer.
Look, here’s the truth. I am a christian marketer. Whether that upsets you or not, or don’t really care – it’s the truth.
And while this blog isn’t centered around Christ per se, I am openly saying in front of the entire world that he is the entire on which my life is based…
Another reason I am saying this is because I often find it difficult to be both “Christ-like” in honesty, love and truth, while also being a marketer – selling things to other people.
Now, God wants us to work, and he wants us to work at whatever we do as hard as possible:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23-24
Why do I even bring this up? Well, it’s both for me AND my readers.
I am writing this just so that other people, who are christians but worry about trying to be an honest marketer, will hopefully find this page.
Just so you know, it may be difficult, but it can be done. This is to encourage you.
This is for my other set of “readers” who may not even be actually here reading this, that don’t believe in Jesus, or don’t care…
My point is this: Everyone in the world should get to know him. I’m not going to force him on anyone of course, but the Lord has helped me start this business, and he continues to bless me. If it wasn’t for God, I would be no where.
When I lost my job a year and a half ago, the Lord had me in mind. I couldn’t get another job and I had to let a lot of credit related items hit my credit score. This included a $10K car payment.
But I didn’t despair. I kept praying and trying to make internet marketing work, and it did. Since the beginning of this year, I have already made more in this year than I did in a year, working overtime, at my last job. I also paid my entire car off…
Look, I didn’t write this message to convert anyone, or make anyone upset. I wrote this simply to tell people about the good news of Christ. He died for my sins and yours. Then he came back to life…
Anyways, to get back to why I wrote this for myself. I wrote this as a reminder that the most important thing in life is NOT MONEY. Nor is it having money or making money.
Yes I am an internet marketer. But my main goal is to help people succeed online. If I promote a product that doesn’t do what it says it does, my apologies – I am human after all.

I’m learning the ropes of internet marketing myself and I wonder sometimes whether persuasive selling of products I’ve never tried is Christian-like. But I’m really blessed by your boldness, you know Jesus said if we’re ashamed of him before men, he will be ashamed of us before His Father, so I just wanna say be blessed and God will honor this step you’ve taken by walking in obedience to His Spirit. Hey Coty, I am about to start going through seminary and will have minimal time to work hours at my job as my time will be spent in studies. I have been doing research and find that internet marketing and affiliating may just be what I need to aid in making money to pay or help with my seminary expenses. As an Internet marketer myself, I have gotten great finaicial results, results so big I know they are the work of God and not by my power.
I too was faced with huge problems like yours, losing my job and full of debt, I came out of all this through my God favoured IM business.
Stay strong, hold on to your faith and keep making that money.

I can’t believe that your site came into my way.. I’ve been really brooding and praying over the issue of whether I’ve been in Internet Marketing for the sake of money or, really it’s a new area that God has called me into..and was deep down praying that there would be a credible Christian believer I would bump into online who would not compromise God over Mammon. It is very very rare that anyone would come across someone who would dare to make a declaration of faith in our Lord Jesus.
We really do not want to err and walk in the wrong way of Balaam and be a stumbling block to others.(if you know what i mean)
Anyway,to add on to what you said..1 Tim 6:10 exhorts us that ‘For the love of money is the root of all evil.Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.’ I think this is really the key to discerning if our motives are based out of the love of money. But I’m very encouraged and inspired by your testimony, and know that it can work out by God’s grace.My take is that every Christian marketer must first be able to kneel in surrender before the Lord to hear His voice 1st thing in the morning, rather than just jump straight on impulse into every Internet Marketing hype.

I also hope that everyone that reads it IS indeed encouraged to continue IM if that is the way they feel God pulling, but to do so in as best honor as possible. It’s a lot better to help people and make colleagues than it is to just sell to people, and make them unhappy…
I think that everyone can be “successful” despite circumstances or resources, because if Go wills it – it will be done.

I relate so much to your post and it’s refreshing coming from such a young guy. My very first post may not have been as descriptive but it’s scripture non the less and I too have been led to this industry by the Holy Spirit.
Unfortunately I was prepared for the massive “internet tax” I would have to pay to learn how to do this.
I’m hoping you will hit me up because I have a vision of reaching the masses for Christ and teaching others how to be free from the bondage of a 401K and hopefully reaching them to be free from their sin.

Just reading your testimony brought on the tears, as it is so great to connect with a fellow believer in Christ, who is also doing IM. It can be a very lonely venture, with alot of naysayers, and people who just don’t get it. But the Lord knows all. God is the one who leads and guides us, and it is He who pours out His blessings in our lives. All gifts come from Him.
And yes, Jesus is the Way, The Truth and The Life. No one can get to God but through Christ. (John 14:6)
